Default part 2, border(s) for my miniature Bargello

I asked originally if just one border would work for my miniature Bargello, and several suggested to audition a small white border before the purple border.

So here is a picture of each. Which do you prefer?

    Thanks,
    Dina

I prefer the purple only. The reason is that the purple then continues from the inside of the quilt out and around your border to create nice movement.

I like either. I think it depends on what the purpose of the borders is for you. The one with white acts like a frame, separates the border from the center, and is very effective as a frame. The plain purple extends the quilt center. So do you want a frame or do you want an extension of the center.

I think the purple alone continues the flow of the idea but the white on the other hand does add a nice frame. Hmmm decisions, decisions.....

Hi Dina. it does need that extra breathing space for a tiny white border. It gives your quilt more depth. Was wondering when we would see another Bargello from you.
