My favorite have to read books of all time in no order:

1. The Good Earth by Pearl S Buck
2. The Jungle by Upton Sinclair
3. The Egg and I by Betty McDonald
4. The Camerons Robert Crichton
5. The ladies of Missalonghi by Colleen Mccullough

I have hundreds but this is a great start.
I ADORE The Egg and I. Part way through I said to myself, "She divorced this guy," and checking her bio, sure enough she did. I think Betty did a sequel: The Plague and I.

These are my favorite authors too.

HI, I mainly listen to audio books or books on cd from the library. I just finished The Red Tent by Anita Diamant.

Next inline is The Girl in the Spider's Web by David Lagercrantz which is the 4th book in The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo by Stieg Larsson. I loved the 3 books that Mr. Larsson wrote and think it was a shame that he passed away so young. I think he had the potential to entertain me for years.

Next up is The Distant Hours by Kate Morton.

I have the longest list of books that I want to listen to.

I am reading a series of books by Veronica Roth. I read Divergent and am half way through Insurgent and the last book is Allegiant. They are nothing like the movies out with the same name starring Theo James and Shailene Woodley.

And another book I currently read while waiting at the doctors office is Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. This is the book the movie of the same name was adapted from.

I am almost done the last book in the Earth's Children series by Jean Auel. They are really good books if you can look past the sex scenes. I tend to skim or skip those. I am about to start The Game of Thrones series but am wondering about the wisdom in that because the series is not done yet...Happy reading!

Ooh...and another good one I forgot is Shogun. If you are into history at all, mainly Japanese culture.
