Thanks for sharing those pics! I do want to try it on something small, so I will put together a tumbler table runner and see how that goes. :-)

Well, I shrunk the design to fit in my 5 x 7 hoop. I do have the bigger hoop that you take off and re-position, but I don't think I'll start my first attempt with that. I used SewWhatPro to resize. That program is a must!

Re: resizing the designs. I mentioned in a previous post that I used an endless hoop and specially digitized designs to do borders. Since these designs are edge-to-edge, I'm guessing that it's a very similar deal. The designs work because the last stitch in the pattern is in the exact spot as the first stitch. For example, if the design starts at 2.25" from the left, it ends in exactly the same spot. The reason this is important is when you advance your quilt and hoop for the next design, you want it to start in exactly the same spot as you ended last time so the 2 hoopings appear seamless, giving you that continuous edge-to-edge. After you resize, the start and stop stitch may, or may not be in the exact place to achieve this. Just test first!

I LOVE this book and all the extra patterns ! It is easy to line up the designs for a great pantograph quilting effect. I want to finish my quilts on my own. I do not want to pay long arm prices. This method was the perfect answer for me. Try it and have fun. I use the patterns for smaller projects like placemats too.
