Thank you!! I used Jaquard Lumiere paints (for fabrics or other surfaces - it is acrylic based). You can heat set it for washing but because this is more of an art quilt I won't bother...it isn't to be washed.

Oh now you've given me great ideas!! Maybe this needs some sparkley sequins or beads!

You did a beautiful job on this little piece. You should make some bigger ones.

Really love it! Definitely isn't a country quilt, is it?

I think your idea of adding sequins or beads -- or crystals!!! -- will really look cool! How are you going to bind/finish it? Rat tail?

You've definitely inspired me to fit in some time for my own personal project. I love ink & have been working with InkTense for customers but am thinking about trying some Tsukinenko inks to get a richer color, but maybe I'll have to try some of the Jaquard paints as well! I went to the quilt museum at Liberty Square in San Diego while vacationing there 2 weeks ago & the featured artist there used Jaquard & it was every bit as lovely as yours (on a much larger scale). Wish I could've taken pictures, but I get why it wasn't allowed. Next time I visit a quilt museum I'm definitely bringing my sketchbook!

Congrats on squeezing in a bit of time for fun quilting & thanks for sharing the pic of your work!
