So far the 4 patches shown are really pretty. Will someone please post the site for clue 2 when it comes out? Thanks in advance. Some of you are so funny. Love the one about someone stealing her 4 patches.

I've sewn all my 4-Patch units, but I only have a few that are pressed. Since some posters have asked about swirling seams, I decided to take some pictures while I was working on mine. I put them in a blog post (rather than making a lengthy entry here), and I hope that it will be helpful to those of you who are not confident with swirling seams. I'll post pictures when I get the rest of the units pressed.

My next step is considering a half-scale version of the mystery in a completely different color scheme. Hmmm . . . which fabrics will I use?

    I cut my 45 3 1/2" patches. Took about 15 min.

I think tomorrow I may be able to start the MQ. I plan on doing it as a L/E with some other projects I need to do for Christmas. Love all the fabric I see that everyone is using.

Yep, and Bonnie will provide that information when she tells us what we're doing with the rest of the 4 patches....don't you think?

Finally, all the pressing is finished. Here are my units. I had not planned to use any purple in my quilt, but I was intrigued by Bonnie's picture of the white lavender in her blog post. I thought I could capture that idea by incorporating some very pale lavender colors in with my neutrals.

I went to look for my orange constant this week. When I saw the sale prices I decided to get a bolt of batting, thread, and a new blade for my rotary cutter. I found everything I needed in less than an hour, even with browsing through bolts of fabric. Such nice sales-- I should remember and plan for it next year. It's the first time I've ever shopped 'black Friday' sales!

My light blues and dark blues are mostly little prints. Also my neutrals are little prints, so I went with a large-ish print for the orange. The flowers are about 3" across.

Tom W, yes, Bonnie will tell all. :-)))
