Default Craft shows success this season

How has everyone who does these shows doing? The last show I did was not good. I am going to do one on the tenth of Dec. and hope it does better. Of course I am talking about small towns. Maybe that makes a difference.

Friend does shows, she thinks it's dying down and people are saturated now. I think people are finding out they want to live more simply and give up "stuff".

I haven't done craft shows for years. Never found them profitable. Unless you are selling some small item for about what it cost you to make it. Most people go to "get ideas" is what I found. Been asked too many times, "Did you make your table?" meaning did you sell enough to cover the $10 or $20 entry fee. Very depressing.

I have a friend who does a lot of craft shows and I keep telling her that after deducting all her costs to make the items, the fees for the shows, and her gas to go back and forth she is probably losing money but she's done the shows for 30 years and doesn't want to stop. Fees here are very high, she does one show that is three days but the fee is $225. Have to sell a lot to make that up.

I gave crafts shows up a few years ago because people just weren't buying. People can buy at Walmart or $ store for stuff made in China.

I don't make crafts for shows but I like to go so will just put in my opinion as I am going to one in a different town to look for something different and my complaint the same craft show with the same people always makes the dame thing and I would like to see something different the next year I have a friend that always participates but why go because I always know what they will have and that is why I am driving to a different town today just my opinion Merry Christmas

I moved and miss the craft shows at the local senior ctr and churches too. Nothing here is close to me, so I pretty much stay home.
