The bottom one definitely pops the most, but the middle one looks good too. The top one would give your quilt a more subdued look. It's just whatever you like!

I think the middle one looks the best with the other colors, but the blue dots would bother me, since there isn't blue in the quilt. I like the top fabric best as a fabric, and I think the bottom one most closely matches the value and brightness of Bonnie's magenta. But since it's a bit bright for my taste, I'd probably go with the top fabric. Look at it this way -- you have three good choices.

I know it reads more orange at viewing distance and isn't as bright but I like the bottom one w/ the yellow flowers best w/ your fabrics.

LavenderBlue, Well there is nothing printed on the selvages of the fabric you like. I was gifted that fabric along with a lot of others and some were quite aged! LOL I don't think this particular one is anything recent.

Here are pictures thus far in this journey.

Only 15 magenta blocks made so far but I wanted to see what the neutrals looked like with the magenta. I have been hesitant to chain piece these but getting better at individually piecing them.

Alva and Macy, your triangle units look wonderful!! Still waiting for my tri rec ruler set to get here--scheduled for tomorrow. I did find a brighter magenta fabric to substitute. I prewashed it and my dark purple and the color catcher picked up quite a bit, so glad I did. Ready to catch up with you guys!!!

Is anyone making those triangle blocks WITHOUT the special ruler? Or the template?
Was wondering if a regular ruler could be used...
    Just curious.

It's precision cutting and sewing so I think it would be pretty difficult to get accurate units.
