What do you think----is it too late for me to start BH's MQ?

Absolutely not! We have some in this group who are just starting last year's mystery quilt! It's never too late. Go and download all the clues so far. Once it ends, they won't stay up long. She will take them down and sell the pattern or put it in a future book.

Thank you mawluv... I was squeezed for purples so had to grab some novelties this time. The results are pretty crazy.

Thanks for the link to clue 6! After second-guessing myself on the pastel magenta and switching it out for a brighter one, my pastel green looked pretty anemic next to the other brights----so I went back to the stash and found two greens to substitute.
I made my first 8 units, the old fashioned way of starting with the square, cutting on the diagonals and sewing the triangles together. Sewed several wrong (the greens would have been next to each other rather than across) and had to pick them out, so watch for that!

Neutrals. Ten years ago I had a stunning collection of neutrals. White. and White on White. and maybe to be really daring I had some "might be pale beige" on white.

I am so proud of all of us for opening up our creativity to embrace "if the ground is light, it is a neutral.

Looking forward to rummaging through my greens this morning.

Same here. The variety in neutrals adds so much interest to quilts. Also makes if you run out of one, no problem since you can easily add something else.

Ugh! Since we're traveling this afternoon for the next two days, I thought I would whip up Clue 6 and be ahead of the game for once. Of course, in my haste, I made an entire unnecessary set of green/neutral instead of green/purple QSTs and don't have time to redo so it will have to wait. Drat. I was so looking forward to knowing I was done until next Friday or the reveal, whichever comes first. I hope everyone else has better success. Off to pack...

I got a great camera for Christmas LAST year, and I am still trying learn how to get my photos posted.

I took a photo of my Between the Clues project. Hope the photo shows.
