I've only got a few blocks together, but I'm enjoying the process. Some of my yellow has a friendly face--I love happy surprises in a quilt!

Angelia, that yellow face it too too funny! It's great. And love your colors. I am still torn on my yellow. I think the problem is that I need to find darker yellows that are not solids, like I pulled. Hope to see you Saturday morning!

I love the big bird squares! I haven't got much of a chance to sew anything for the past few days and won't get much of a chance for the next few, so I have been thinking (as dangerous as that it!) I know I've made a lot of changes, but I have one more I am undecided on. The sashing 4 patches all the black ones in the center of the red stars will be red and black square in a square (I just have one drawn though) but the teal 4 patches in the sashing strip should they be red/teal or black/teal? (I have drawn in 2 of each)

    Default Overwhelmed...

I have enjoyed seeing all the photo's so far. Kassaundra, I admire your adventurous approach and ideas; I'm sure what ever you decide upon will be great - based upon your previous finishes. This is only my second MQ and I feel overwhelmed at times. It seems too busy and if I do another one may have to stick to all constants in order for my brain not to explode. I followed Bonnie's color suggestions and even tried to get out of my comfort zone on the neutrals. This is what it looks like so far. A design wall would be so helpful at a time like this.

Kassaundra, I like the repeat of the red in the little diamonds.

Carol, your quilt is looking great. Don't get overwhelmed... her quilts are made to be viewed from a distance. Grand Illusion was the same way... a hot mess up close but a genius pattern from afar.

Carol I think yours is pretty cohesive for a scrappy. When the seam allowances are taken up it will "tighten" the design and make it even more cohesive. Sewbiz is right though distance is a friend to viewing BH quilts.
