you are definitely right! As soon as I looked at the picture, I said, "Just bind it in the green". I think there is enough. But that lavender/yellow/ green batik will find another use, I am sure.

Congratulations, ddtrina! That's a major accomplishment for someone so relatively new to quilting. It looks great. Do you have a plan for the quilting? I am trying to think of a design for it and am thinking of doing an allover pattern on my little Bernina.

Last night I was getting ready to put the final border on my top when I noticed one of the star points was wrong. It was three rows in. I ripped to that spot, restitched the square and did it wrong again! I put my stitching down for the night and will try again today. Love the way the top is coming together and look forward to getting it finished.

Fraew, your finish is fantastic! Your fabrics look so rich and elegant - and with perfect piecing. Congratulations - I admire all of you who have competed the entire size (I did only 12 blocks and was so ready to finish it).

Sophie2 - I feel for you and did something similar with my first BH mystery. I put all the strip blocks running at the wrong angle in Orca Bay and had the rows almost all completed before I realized my mistake. Unfortunately, I didn't tear it apart and have always regretted that. You will be glad for the fix I'm sure ~ I'm anxious to see the finished product.

    Fraew, that's gorgeous!

I hope to finish row three today.

    Sorry for your aggravation, Sophie2!

Fraew, it looks fabulous! I finally finished mine today, but I don't know if I can find a place to take a photo of it. I will probably end up putting on my bed. Will you be quilting it yourself? And have you thought of how you want it to look? I'm leaning toward just stippling it.

I finished my top yesterday! Like audsgirl, I will try to find a spot to take a picture. I will be quilting mine on my domestic machine and will probably just do stippling. Love everyone's quilts.

I'm very eager to see the photos of your tops, audsgirl and Sophie2! I haven't yet given much thought to quilting designs. It's always helpful to see what others have done, so I'll be keeping an eye on the Quiltville page for some quilting close-ups.

Has anyone made a decision on backing yet? I would love to see photos of people's backing fabrics. I've been wondering if a light printed fabric would look too cluttered with such a busy top, so have been considering looking for a purple tonal. I associate the quilt with the French countryside because of those photos of the lavender fields, so would like to find something with that French country feel.
