    Default 365 quilt

I'm still working on mine. Sometimes all you need is a little bit of sewing a day to get your fix, this quilt is good for that.

today's block. I have almost nothing in my stash that works for fussy cuts, this little piece came in a box of scraps, I've been waiting for the right spot for it.
No, I'm not doing blocks in order of date, I let a few blocks stack up while I'm binding blocks

I did mine last year, but it's still waiting to be quilted.

Here is the link to Cathy's top: 365 Block floppy

Here are my January and February blocks: My 365 blocks through February

I haven't taken pics of any of March's blocks.

There are other threads with people's progress, but we were never able to make a single thread stick because the structure of the challenge didn't mesh with the QB rules.

thanks for posting the link to the pictures, I thought I had them posted somewhere . . .

I personally gained a lot of confidence about piecing doing this quilt top. It was a lot of work but in the end I'm glad I did it as now very little "freaks me out" when I look at pictures and consider if I could do it. And after all those 3" blocks, anything that is using 2" or larger pieces seems very easy to work with.

I did start modifying some of the methods as I got more comfortable and found what I preferred (don't like covered corner method) and found I preferred to use my "easy angle" and "companion angle" rulers when I could, instead of the methods shown. My piecing experience level was pretty low when I started, and I feel it improved significantly.

I didn't worry a lot of perfection as I considered this a skill building challenge. And the way things go together, it does not matter if you've got cut off points or stuff like that, as you won't notice them in the end result. It might be a lot harder for someone jumping in at the middle since they blocks do start off simple and work up to more complicated piecing. I found that by the time I got to a block that looked scary, I'd already done enough similar, simpler ones that I felt I could tackle it.

I started in Jan of 2016 and did very well keeping up until about July when life got crazy. So my plan now is to pick up this year in July and see it through. I printed out most of the blocks for July - Dec last year. Does anyone know if there are changes this year, or will the blocks be the same? It doesn't really matter to me, just curious if there are any differences this year.

I'm plugging along again. as soon as I locate my camera, i'll post some pic's. I have 3 of the 12 floral corners done. all the white 6 inch blocks done, and am working on the last of the 3" blocks for the 2nd round. I think I have about 80 of them done. I just refound this post a couple days ago. had another knee replacement since I started this. back in regular exercise class again.

Good for your sewNso...I briefly looked at the small tote I have mine in and decided I have too much other life stuff going on to think about this....maybe in the midst of summer. Would love to see your pictures.

I’m still collecting the blocks each day. Going to start making the blocks (soon I hope) I’m trying to finish up some older past due projects and have one commission to get done.

I started mine this past January. I usually let a few days pass, the do a few blocks to catch up. The blocks are so adorable, and it's great to take a little break from other projects. So far, I have all the for this year done except for this week...I've been stalling because I dislike mitered corners, but I vowed to catch up this weekend!
