Your projects are beauiful!! I made a CQ fitted couch cover for my first couch bought at auction ( it was sooo UGLY) when I was first married, I just tight zigzaged over all the edges.
Now I have about 50 blocks done, but no embellishments, how do you decide what colors, threads, and stitchs to use?

The crazy quilts are beautiful. I've yet to have the patience to do one. I like all the embellishments .

I love crazy quilts. I am collecting fabrics for a throw or quilt. I enjoy the handwork.

I hope so. They are Ribbon Smyth's Rainbow Dye for rayon and cotton. Paint dry using a small brush. To blend colors wet the motif, I use a small spray bottle, the colors will blend. Allow to dry and press on the back of the motif or lace with hot dry iron Dye is permanently fixed. The dyes are non-toxic. ribbonsmyth.com I hope this helps maybe they or someone will be at the quilt show in Paducah. I am planning a trip there this year with three other friends.

    Good Luck

My son's ex fiancee worked at a showroom, too. She brought me 5 big black garbage bags one night of lovely samples... we sat on the floor in the living room surrounded by fabrics...I have a whole bin of silks ( want to make a Jacket), and just love using those pieces.....

Crazy quilts are what inspired me to quilt. I love them with a passion. I see a victorian quilt and I drool. I have done them without embroidery and of all cotton. I am not near brave enough to work with the fabrics I love the most.. velvets, silks.. uh no. Your work is beautiful and a true tribute to the original CQ's out there.

Marian, you do such lovely work. I made a crazy quilt for my adult granddaughter by request. I really did not want to, I'd rather applique, but once I got into it I had such fun. the quilt won 2nd place in a local quilt show. Thanks for sharing your work with us. Nancy Rose
