    Love this. I've made lots of scrap quilts with squares of strings, but never saw the basket weave. It's great!

    What a great quilt for a baby! I can imagine little eyes popping out at all the colors, and it will be great when he's learning his colors: "where's the red?" I also like your backing - gives it some interest too.
