I was planning to go up north this weekend, but came down with a wicked cold, so stayed home and sewed instead.

I made one of the October Quilting Bee blocks and I finished both runners from the 17th mystery train, which was my first mystery.

Beautiful projects everyone! I'd say it was a successful VQW.

Sewbizgirl. Do you think that those blocks in the lower right hand corner are too criss crossy? I think I have 4 or 5 right there with the cross. That last one is now sewn in yet, so I could trade it with another. Marcia

I know I'm not Sewbizgirl but my option would be take the top one of the three and put it to the bottom or left of the row and move the other two up. Love the blocks you have done a great job!

Noah loved his quilt so now onto my DSIL quilt, it must be done by thanksgiving. Since this Sunday (15th) is my birthday my DH is giving me a instruction session on Long arm quilting at a near by quilt shop. Cheaper than buying one and they rent it out so I can quilt myself.

Enjoyed the weekend, lots of great projects.

I got a bit sidetracked, with my kids coming for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. I did have a productive weekend however. In addition to what I posted earlier, I finished quilting 3 donation quilts, and I put together this top. The blocks were removed from a quilt I repaired - each of them had a hole somewhere in the block. Finally decided I needed to do something with them - so, a bit of Kaffe florals and the holes are all covered and the quilt is now donation-sized.

Great work everyone. It's always fun to participate in the VQW. I had a late finish that didn't get posted. Finished binding Monday. It was one of my UFO's waiting to be FMQ. Lap Size. Have a great week everyone.
Terrible picture. Can't seem to adjust size to upload. This is a picture of top and back on one layout. Oh well. . Partial pictures. Haha
