    beautiful. I love flying geese, but they don't love me. The big stitch sets it off, and I love the backing. Do I see some of my green fabric swapped with you? Great gift!

    Elnan, I quilt with no hoop or frame, just in my lap. I board/thread baste (Sharon Schamber, youtube). My daughter makes me suede thimbles and they are my favorite. Thimblelady XL needles for 12wt thread or Crewel needles for Perle cotton.

    It's such a great quilt. Love your interesting backgrounds and colors. I too have the Wing Clipper ruler, but when putting the flying geese connected like that I prefer the triangulations papers. Just an fyi.
