Mary, ooo, surprises? I didn't get to the mailbox yesterday, will definitely go today. With all the junk mail, and the fact that I get all my bills online, I only go to the mailbox on Tuesday and Friday. Lazy me!

    Default Thanks, Mary

Oh Mary Mary ... love my surprise! It was in the mail box when I checked after going to the gym. Thank you for the beautiful fabrics, and love the little lint brushes for cleaning my machine. You make some of the greatest things, you talented gal, you!

Judy I mailed your surprise last Thursday. That's why I was getting concerned about it. I seen a tute for the little brushes for cleaning your machine online. I thought they were so cute. Just coffee stirrers and pipe cleaners. I use 2-3 to clean out around the bobbin and then toss them out. It's amazing how much lint there is. Enjoy.

I just love all the finish and progress so far.

Macybaby, Roma Bauder, Petthefabric, all such lovely mystery’s.

JeanieG, I like your use of leftover for your table runner. It will make a great tablerunner. It’s all in my favorite color.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments on my table runner! It was fun to use pieces that were already put together. They are 2" instead of 2 1/2".

It's not national. Each guild in this area has a similar program and comfort quilts seems to stick.

Finished quilts are given to organizations to use as needed. Organizations include police for children removed from their homes, women's homes, hospice, nicu at hospitals. Most fabrics are donations from guild members. The leader organizes a group to put kits together with all the fabrics/batt and the pattern. Some quilts are donated, like I do as tops/back/binding. She adds batt and someone else quilts and binds. Then she distributes to the other service organizations. Sometimes a recipient organization sends a representative to the guild to report how they've been used and the reception of the final recipient.
