I finally got my blocks pieced together. When I was hanging the top up to take the picture I noticed I had one of my corner stars upside down . I decided to leave it be since this quilt is staying with me. I love the fall colors and the stars so much it will be the first quilt I have made that I am going to keep for myself.

5Pints I love your quilt top what are the colors that you used, I really like them. I can't tell where the wrong star is.

Thanks! I had a coordinating solid and a small check in brick red. The back is going to be an old sheet that is olive green with a small gold pattern. Bottom right star is the culprit.

Maxie, I could not do what I do without a design wall. It's two 4 x 8 sheets of one inch blue insulation covered in flannel. I can pin to it or just put something light, hand iron and walk away. I need to have it on the design wall and then step back and look. The floor works too, but not as dramatic.

Someone wanted to know how big mine turned out. It's not completely done. I've got two sides of the wine border left to sew on and then the final border which will be cut 5 1/2 inches wide. Finished top should be 69 x 88.

Please help with this last border. Do I just put a 5 1/2 inch yellow beige marble border here or change it to something else. The one inch framing border is dark wine. Would a darker marble look ok??? I'm up in the air on this one. Marcia second picture does not belong here. I hit cancel once. Got it anyway.

Yes, I like the idea of continuing the beige/yellow border. And, then, bind off in a dark color. Can't wait to see what you decision you make.

It won't take me long to get that border on. I can't reach high enough to put this properly on the design wall. Ladders and step stools are off limits with the balance problem.'

But on a brighter note: The shooter we had in town is locked up in the county jail after having to be tazered. The psychotic baby sitter just across the street is moving out right now. Things are looking up. Thanks for all your support.
