Default Any Way the Wind Blows Quilt

Get your sunglasses on. I found this quilt pattern in The Quilter, November 2009 magazine. It looked like something I would like as it has browns, greens and oranges. But, OMG, it is So bright. I cut the size down because I just couldn't wrap my mind around the bright colors. I even refused two or three of the fabrics because they were just too much pattern. So it hung on my design wall for almost 6 months. Finally I said "finish it or give it away". So I made it twin sized and will add one or two pillowcases and even a couple matching throw pillows. I did a rather complicated edge to edge panto on my short arm quilter. So glad it's done.

I think it is beautiful. Perfect for Fall when It can be kind of gloomy.

Its a lovely quilt. The background fabric is wonderful; it gentles the entire project and makes the other fabrics pop but not in an over-the-top kind of way.

I love it! Colors are great but I realize that it wouldn't suit everyone's taste.

I think it is great. I like it. Perhaps over time it will mellow in your sight.

Thank you everyone. BTW, these are the three fabrics I chose not to use in the quilt. The middle fabric has a green background.

Its' beautiful. No too much color at all. Sometimes we have to push ourselves to use colors that are not a favorite.
