I love this thread - it's saving me a ton of money! I am just living vicariously through you guys. It's almost as good as getting all the beautiful fabric and useful notions myself.

Oh you ladies are giving me the giggles...I went to walmart for a light bulb....ya well you can't go to walmart w/o at least checking the fabric...Ok almost 20.00 later can home w/ 4 1/2 yards of creamy beige fabric [1.50 a yd] for curtains for my daughters office, several fat 1/4's , 2 yds of lil boy fabric [1.50 a yd], fusible web, a yd of more debbie mumm fabric to make a sewing machine cover. A bottle of Quilter Choice a 6 x6 template-everything I bought was on sale-thats how I justify spending, he he.
A order from keepsakes on its way and a book on weekend scrap quilts from white birchs...shhhh no body breathe a word of this to my other half.
Now to get in that sewing rm and work on at least project before work this afternoon.

What's a "Bottle of Quilters Choice"? I might need some too.

OK, I confess - that happens sometimes too. I can't always be good!

Wow I'm definitely proving I can spend.

Here are the geisha panel fabrics that I have gotten so far.

Here is the fabric i'll use for the kimono border

And here is a picture of the geisha panels I am planning. These fabrics will go on the first one with the umbrella.

Then I got a white backing for my current project and the first geisha and the batting for both. I bought at Fabric.com and I got the shipping free. i loved that part.

Went to Quilt Expo yesterday and saw all kinds of new goodies. Bought a Martelli Rotary Cutter and pack of blades, Grab-a-Roos, Famore tweezers, and beige, yellow, and red tailor's chalk. Best of all, all the great ideas didn't cost a dime!
