I've not seen this block before. I see I want a few changes though. It is a cute block.

I am surprised too girls. Gee, this is really a mistery of a farm quilt top. I suppose I will make the barn and go back to the block for this month.
On the other hand, I almost have my Christmas sewing finished. I am working on a sock monkey for brother's new baby and will make a Tillie doll for her sister. So fun!
Mailing off the ornament swap goodies soon. That was hard to wait after they were finished.
    Congrats on the pregnancy nz!

Love the barn but I'm going to wait to put it in the quilt. I don't want the barn to be the first one on the second row. I would rather it be in the middle or lower down. I also think I will switch the bottom sash of the barn to go between the top and upper area. I would like the "doors" to touch the ground. A mini barn quilt will go where the hay loft is, something simple since it is only 2 1/2 inches square. Can't wait to get started. Company this weekend so my sewing room is occupied.

Lol....I thought the same thing...one of the reasons I don't really care for this barn block. I'm still pondering ideas on this. Definitely need a barn but maybe another will replace it. Not sure...

NZQuilter: Congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope your morning sickness goes away soon. Your girls will be such great helpers when the little one comes next summer.

I like toverly's ideas for the barn.

Love both of your "replacement blocks". I think no one is posting because we are disappointed the barn was not an animal.

So sorry about the morning sickness, NZ. Both of my pregnant girls are experiencing that too... they even had to get prescription meds to stop throwing up all the time. And they are now halfway or more through their pregnancies! Poor mommies. The things we go through to bring a wonderful new life into this world! It's all worth it.

You might need to take a break from sewing for a while. It's okay.
