The Quilting Twins have good deals on cutting blades from time to time. Their's are named "Quilters Cut". I've purchased a package from them, a while back, but am still working on my Olfa blades. Maybe someone else has purchased the ones from The Quilting Twins and can give a review??

I use Sewology blades that I buy at Hobby Lobby on sale or with the 40% off coupon. They are fine and each in the pack comes in its on little case so you can't put two blades in by accident.

Intersting comments. I use the endurance blades from Olfa and really like them. They last a long time. I use a rotary cutter that always closes itself.

Also Quilter's Cut are good ones. Amazon carries them. I just got some Endurance but haven't used them yet.
Harbor Freight's are real duds.

I have used blades from Martelli, Fiskar, and Olfa. The titanium ones held up the best of any.
Harbor Freight blades are for cutting carpet...is that correct? The last time I checked carpet is a bit different than cotton or even denim fabric. Sort of like trying to put a Model T engine in a modern car and expecting it to work?

i wouldn't take a fiskars blade as a gift.

my preference is for olfa brand, but they are pricey.
now, i shop generic.
some of them last as long; some not.
but the money i save makes up for that.

I use the regular Olfa blades and was going to try the Endurance - have also heard mixed reviews from our Guild members. Thanks for the info - guess I'll never know uness I try them so if I find a sale I might get them.

I haven't had any problems with the Harbor freight blades. I figured they were made to cut carpet they should do well with fabrics and so far they have been fine. I am sure there are bound to be some bad ones though. I bought premier blades from Amazon but haven't had a chance to use them yet. I know mine cut different on different mats and with different handles so I expect it is personal preference and a person has to try to find what works for them and their equipment.
