    Default Rowenta D5030 Pressure Iron/steamer

I bought this iron at an auction for $10. Don't know if I'll use it or sell it.

Can anyone give me the pros and cons? It is large and heavy, but if I put the tank on the floor, I can use it. I know it doesn't have auto shut off which you all say is a great feature.

So....tell me about my purchase, please! Thanks!

I don't have that one so no help to offer. I use a power strip with a light so easy to see when it is On or Off.

The retail on that is $161 on Amazon. You got a great deal! We have one at the shop, and it's fabulous! We put two layers of flannel together (for a receiving blanker or burp cloths), steam press them together, then serge around the outside with pearl crown rayon. We have a 4 ft square wool pressing table under it.

I wouldn't want to use it for pressing a quilt block, just because it's so heavy, and I don't use steam when pressing my quilt blocks.
