Really cute idea. Love the fabrics you used ... they look great with the buttons.

Go with bright fabric and your dark buttons will look fine. Make the jar a turquoise blue like old canning jars.

I went to a museum in St. Augustine and saw a huge collection of buttons years ago. It was wonderful! Did a little research and found the Florida State Button Society (it's a real thing!) will be having their 2020 show in Daytona Beach, Fl....I already have it on my calendar...can't wait!

I have a couple of big boxes of buttons. I love to look at them and sort them, but there is not time for such a pleasant
past time today. I think that your small quilt will be the perfect project. My grandmother made several velvet
covered boxes that she sewed buttons on for me. They are lovely; I wanted to make some, but it was too hard to
sew the buttons through the heavyweight cardboard boxes and velvet.
