joe'smom, LOL, Fred is what I call my fibromyalgia and Arthur is my arthritis. They both make very poor house guests as they move in and never leave. Arthur hates changes in the weather and acts very ugly during rain, snow and other weather activities. Other than that, he mostly lays around in my joints and bones and causes ongoing but tolerable problems. Fred, however, is a nasty beast and is always causing trouble. Anything can set him off and I never know from hour to hour what he is going to come up with next. I give them both strict sets of rules... but I think I am the only one who follows them. LOL..... laughter is a great friend to all who have chronic invisible, and visible, illnesses.
KalamaQ, what a marvelous idea to add the photos to the thread rack. It looks beautiful!

Wildyard, one of my daughter's has fybro and I have learned a lot since her diagnosis. From time to time be bobbing along just fine and wham, she can hardly walk to use the bathroom. Not fun. Medication has helped but a consistent application of wisdom, like not over doing anything and a better diet, plus loss of some weight has made a huge difference. Now she can return to some of her painting and other artistic endeavors. Keep laughing it is fine medicine and really quite inexpensive. You kept us smiling with your post.

NZ you've nailed it! now I can't decide between $2.00 a yard and the scotty dogs which I'm wild about
Thank you All for your help. I did spend time at etsy and never did find what I needed!
I too deal with fibro, I personally think the onset is at puberty. that is when my insomnia started, the depression in my teens, the pain in my early 20's. the memory issues became noticeable in my 30's. The debilitating pain isn't so much an issue now that I'm retired, I 'think' because I don't have to push myself if it gets started. Did you know they are now calling it nerve-ending neuropathy?

Enjoying following along with this thread. Love seeing everyone's color interpretations. I'm one of your loudest cheerleaders on Bonnie's mystery quilts and join you in spirit. I'm just not able to start a project when I can't see even a single final picture of what the project is meant to look like.

Go with what you love, the $2 one is for a FQ, most of the others are priced for 1/2 yard, and the only two that were priced for a yard was the scotties, and the floral just before the scotties.

I've never been one much for 30s prints but I'm really excited to seeing this project done with them. What a hoot!
I really understand the people who can't commit without seeing the final quilt. This project just came up at a good time for me, I was in a lull between ending what I was doing and I wasn't really inspired to work on any of my own projects and I typically do something quilting related every day. I'm pretty much a quilting control freak but I'm trying to loosen up and so things like this are good for me but I don't do them often. What I tell myself is that I've designed quilts myself and every fabric placement and have been unhappy with the end results, so it's no biggy if this ends up as a donation project because most of my projects are for donations. But I truly understand people who only get to sew rarely and so save their time for things precious to them.
I'm dealing with essentially free stash fabrics that makes a big difference as well. But for people who don't know me, these hand dyes are not the sort of thing I usually work with! I have plenty of "tiny viney" prints in the correct color ways I could use. I am not normally one of the out of the box fabric collections, but hit or miss it's always fascinating to me when I'm either a participant or lurker. But again, sometimes you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone and find out what happens. I or someone I know might think this is the best thing ever, and if not I enjoy the energy of doing a group project like this even when the group isn't physically together.
In my life it seems like life is a balance of having money and no time, or having time and no money. Right now I have lots of time and fabric and very few other commitments so hooray for me!
