Wow Iceblossom - those blocks are just wonderful. I cannot imagine the amount of work you have done to get these fabrics dyed.

Kris - your coming right along too with your blocks. It is so much fun to see these blocks popping up!

I have been thinking of you, Kalama. While it took quite some time for my physical body to heal after my gall bladder removal, I had an underlying feeling of unwellness that I just accepted as my base line and that went away almost immediately.

Best wishes for speedy recovery but don't push it if that isn't the way it goes. Took me way over 2 weeks just to walk upright much less go back to work and I was just 40 then.

    Default a Frolic flimsy finish!

I did make changes to my borders, but used all the HSTs and added some color. I was amazed at the amount of work it took to put this one together, but now I really like it. Waiting on a replacement motor for my Nolting, then I can fret over the quilting!

    So many beautiful blocks!

Frolic is currently in time out. 3 of the 8 blocks I've completed have the HST's in the wrong orientation. A lovely block, but not the right block! Perhaps it will be picked apart before bed, but no more sewing until morning.

I'm definitely leaning toward a straight setting rather than on point. Extra parts will make extra blocks for 6 x 6 before borders.

That's the plan right now, anyhow.

Ok, I am definitely going to use the "Parakeets" instead of the neutral/yellow for the sashing rectangles, there is just no yellow option that makes me happy. I'm only unhappy with about 1/4th of the blocks. It's all going work out fine.

So I now have a plan of attack. Today is to finish the remaining blocks. The future includes finish the setting triangle units. Cut the sashing rectangles. I'll be putting on the sashing randomly on each block in an L shape and won't do the final layout until I have it on. And then on to the borders. At this point I'm planing on doing the double sawtooth as designed. Isn't anything I would choose to do myself and once again I remind myself that is sort of the point. At least all the HST are made and now need something done with them so I don't back out completely.

Won't have any progress pictures for quite awhile. Here is the Yellow option and the expanded Parkakeet option I'm going with.
