    Default Hmong Story Cloths

In the recent organization of my sewing room, I pulled out one of my treasures. When I acquired the piece some 20 years ago, I did some searching but wasn't able to find out much. I was debating what to do with it, and decided to ask one of our local museums if they would want it. They replied yes, it is called a Story Cloth and we would love to put it with our other examples. LOL, just because they will take it doesn't mean it will be put immediately on display or anything, but that's just fine. It should be somewhere better appreciated than in my stash.

Here's a link with an almost identical project to mine, telling the story much better than I can!

I can't think of a better end use. Never heard of story cloths before but am delighted to make their acquaintance.

This quilt is amazing and the story it tells is one so many lived through. Giving it to a museum is a great idea. Thank you for the history lesson.
