Anyone taking a break from RT to do the Laundry Basket Quilts Mystery for 2022? I have skipped Clues 1 and 2 for now. I worked on Clue 3 yesterday, but I don’t have the right size ruler. As a result, my block is smaller. Also, I am adding yellow into the blue/white color scheme, and am struggling with placement and value.

Any how, here is a sample of my Clue 3 units:

SuzSLO, I've been saving the clues and watching the videos. Love your fabrics! Finger pressing would be a departure for me.

I'm having to sacrifice points to keep my sashing even on RT. Will start sewing rows together today.

SuzSLO, I’m collecting the clues. I’m leaning towards, purple batik with other colors in the batiks fabrics. I figure I will start cutting it this weekend. My fabrics are washed and ready to cut. I do have a question though. I have the Alaska templates, is that the only templates I need to complete this mystery? I usually enjoy doing her mysteries. I just don’t want to buy anymore templates if I don’t have to.

I finished the binding last night! Mine finished around 68 x 80, so still a good size without the B block. It will be going to my granddaughter.

I think that there are more templates in the Mystery bundle than in Alaska. While the website doesn’t show all the templates (to preserve the mystery), today’s block used templates J and K. I think there are only a total of 4 in Alaska. The Alaska ruler should be sufficient if you have that. Some strategic taping to create reference lines on the Alaska templates may also be sufficient. I have a different kaleidoscope pattern ruler and it is probably not going to hack it. Mine will definitely be a variation.

Quilting Vagabond - love your quilt. Do you have any idea what you’re going to do with the rest of the blocks?

QuiltingVagabond, that's beautiful, the colors work so well together! Thanks for showing the backing; I love to see people's backings.

happylab, Edyta has said you need either the Alaska ruler or the Mystery templates. I'm not familiar with the Alaska templates, so don't know if they are equal to the Alaska ruler.
