I am going to make some hot pads and pot holders. How should the thinsulate be put between the 2 layers of cloth or doesn't it matter? Thanks :?:

Shiny side goes to the side that going to get the heat. Don't forget to also use Warm and Natural batting (like I did  ) or they don't work very good. The batting goes on the "cool" side.

I use InsulBrite for pot holders and hot pads. The directions with that say to use one layer of InsulBrite with two layers of batting underneath it. Put the shiny side of the InsulBrite on top (where it will get the heat). Good luck! :)

Thinsulate does have some insulating qualities. I've seen it on tags for snow suits and gloves, but I haven't used it for pot holders. Maybe fouxy meant to say InsulBrite?

Yes I meant Thinsulbrite. Had brain freeze for a moment. Thanks for bringing me back to the sewing world. Thanks for your help.
