You didn't steal anything! We are all in this together -lol- and we all share and share alike. Am so thrilled you posted pics on my thread! I welcome all to do the same thing!! That wonderful metallic is hand woven in afterwards but it's not mine! Someone else wonderfully created it. It's just my inspiration piece! It is down right eyecatching! They did a GREAT job! I keep thinking it was couched on the edge and then hand sewn with that glittery metallic. Wonderful effect!

I use to get intimidated by what other's did. Then I decided that while mine might not be the greatest, I did it!!! Now I will share and hope someone else will have the courage to do it too. That's how we learn...
That sure is how we learn! And what better way than through other quilters willing to share!! I love to toss my ideas out there. Someone always comes up with a better idea than mine! We are each individually artists in our own ways and we each see things differently! This is why the forum is so successful because of those before us who willingly shared and attracted all of us to them! Your creation is your ideal and the most important thing is that you did it!! Creating extemporaneously is the best way! And you are surely thinking outside the box because now you have a crowd following you and your selvage ideas!! What better compliment than this? Keep up the good work!!!

Thank you for telling me how that was done. Is that a postcard? I like to do those too, but so far, haven't ventured too far into them........I seem to get so busy doing "whatever". I will never get it all done....no matter how long I live!

Thanks Thanks Thanks for sharing and showing your projects
Well, bourvel, that sure was so very nice of you to say! And I don't think there is a better quilting forum out there but this one!! With 9,000 members, you are bound to be "continually" informed, inspired, educated, encouraged, lifted and entertained!! haha. And that's just for starters!! Wait until you meet all the pros!!! Your welcome, bourvel, and I am so glad others too are showing their wonderful creations and ideas here too!!

You're so nice and thanks for putting up with my bad English, being French and not having the chance to practice it since my retirement 8 years ago, I'm kind of losing it and this blog is great for me on all sides !

Yes, that is a postcard! Some of them come with sleeves so you can mail them with everything intact. I think they're so cute but haven't had the time to do any yet. I have godchildren in another country I will be making some for because kids love that kind of thing! Know what you mean about having to live a long time to get it all in, but it's so true we can't do everything so that's where pics come in handy of those quilts you absolutely love but know you can never make one. They keep us uplifted and inspired when we see them and it urges us on to create something greater! That's how we grow. Right now I'd have to live to be 300 to use just the fabrics collected   :-( know what I mean? lol.

You're doing GREAT with your english!! I love French so -- still remember a lot of it. When I'm speaking Spanish and can't think of the Spanish word, I'll use French! haha. The languages are so closely related - stem words anyway. I don't think the Spanish people even noticed I threw in a French word!! haha. I hope your retirement is a good one and we are so happy to have you on the board! You will find all the help you need whenever you ask. We are glad the forum is meeting more than one of your needs also!!

I think a new fad is happening now! Forget all those great big pieces of fabric! Let's get into the selvages!! Start our own magazine!!! Get some more to show us their selvage projects!! WOW! This just might be the longest running thread in history!

I'm inspired! Wow how beautiful selvages are in projects. I've been saving mine, and maybe one day I can create something wonderful.
    Kind Regards,
    MaryAnna
