Janice what a cute pup! I love the layout of your quilt and printed out a picture to use that layout in the future. I will need to sit down next week and catch up on reading all the posts from last week and this week. This group is sure chatty in a good way. The blocks posted and everyone's block collections look gorgeous.

GramE - I loved the original layout and the new one is awesome! So much movement - thank you thank you
Terramn - not sure what original block looked like - but this one is perfect for my vision - thank you. Glad you found your dosage. It is such a difficult journey - fortunately you didn't have to stop on RX and then go onto another. I also got permission to temporally up the dose of mine in case I knew I was heading into difficult times
Janice - Love the way you made the quilt. Will have to keep it in mind when I want to make two quilts from one boom. And Ernie looks pleased too!
Making tote bags for quilts I have completed so they will be ready to go out the door.

Default Half done…

My quilt blocks I’m working on are from Boom 32, not 31. I did run across one block that isn’t in the gallery for some reason so I don't know who made it. It turns out the seams are about 1/16th to 1/8th so I cannot use it as it will absolutely fall apart the first time it’s washed. There’s no room to fix it. I’ll have to choose another block or make another I can use.

So reminder everyone to watch those seams!

Just back from Sam’s Club and the LQS to pick up my newly fixed old Kenmore. Woo hoo! Now we’re off on other errands. I want to get back here to finish the top or at least get it all in rows, and to make a new block.

Got to run!

A2P, I love the blocks. WOW

Got the blocks together into a top. Now I’ve got to find borders. Thought I’d use the light grey in the hourglasses as a skinny border and then find something to work with the dark grey for a wide border. I need to make it a little bigger for twin size. Maybe make a pillow case, too.

I’m pooped!

Have a good evening.

Good morning, Roses. It’s another humid, rainy day here. Great day to stay inside.

Terriamn, thank you. I already see the layout isn’t the best but it’s done and I’m not changing it. Now to find something that will work as a large border with all those colors. The binding will probably be scrappy. I’ll hit up one LQS that has lots of flat folds at good prices. Need a backing too.

I signed up for the Guild daytime retreat at the end of next month. It’s only a few miles away so I’ll come home each night. It’ll be a good opportunity to get to know other members. I joined the guild so I might as well jump in. In for a penny, in for a pound.

This will be a busy weekend with the grands. No stitching for a couple of days. They’re spending tomorrow night with us so their parents can go out and celebrate their anniversary. And today we’ll be picking them up from school, our first time, and taking them home. Ought to be interesting.

Have a good weekend.

Janice enjoy the grands and have a fun filled afternoon and evening.

Hubby is off to spend the afternoon and evening with a couple of his college buddies. Usually I head off car camping on his outings but staying home and reading a good book.

Yesterday was what the local news called a red letter day, absolutely beautiful here and the remarkable thing is this weather is supposed to stick around for 2 more days. Perfect

Enjoy your day

Where were you one year ago? I am being inundated with Helen remembrances. It is sad to remember, good to seen the changes from a year ago and to give thanks for all who came to pitch-in to help. Returning life in the hurricane impacted areas to something close to normal is still going on. But look at the amazing recovery and changes that have happened. Stay safe when unexpected weather hits your area and be prepared in what ever way you can. Now, go charge your phone!

WMUT that is one plus from my car camping I have at least 10 different power supplies that are always charged up and ready to go. Some are very simple and others a bit more intricate. Even then I think it’s only enough power to run a light or two and charge our phones for 4 or 5 days. Texas has a terrible power grid and we do have a back up generator there. Can’t image the devastation from Helen
