Pfaff powerquilter 16. sensor locations???
Can anyone share the location of the sensors for this machine?
I'm sure my machine just needs cleaned in those areas, but where are they?

This is the same machine my friend had on her long arm that I used for a number of years. The sensors we most needed to clean/clean often were in the carriage area. White plastic and you could see grime... so you had to lift off the head to get to the carriage. There are wires and so you follow those to either end for the sensors.
Hope this muddled thing gives you a place to start.

By sensors, do you mean the encoders? The devices that determine movement?
They should have small wheels on them that ride against the carriage (forward/backwards) and frame (side to side) and have wires that run back to the head.
Be sure the carriage and frame rails are clean and that the encoder wheels are making good contact across their entire length of movement.

Much better use of terminology from mkc! Sorry for my muddled description and lack of nouns, it has been a few years since I used that set-up.
There were also silver/metal wheels we had to clean, but it was the plastic parts that were usually our issues.

What is the problem you think will be resolved by cleaning the sensors? Movement related is the encoders.
Doing a search on Power Quilter Sensor, brought me to a free PDF of the owner's manual if you don't have your's handy. LOL I spent so much time with that manual back in the day, it was funny to see it again. We never could get a decent bobbin no matter what we did so started buying prewound but short form is I spent many hours with that manual...

Starting on page 24 there are a mentions of a Motor and other Sensor tests. Maybe what you are wanting is in there?
