Great farm block, Terri! Hope you have a safe trip to Bismark and back.

Janice, one block every other day is not bad. I expect your block making will slow down even more, once the new block pictures start rolling in! I know the gallery is a lot of work, but we really appreciating your doing it!

I have nearly got the BurgSur top together. I discovered I had cut most of the sashings 1/4" too long, so a lot of ripping has been done, so I can correct the sashings. 1/4" over a 15.5" span does make a difference. Then, with all the ripping, some blocks end up out of order or turned a wrong way...so more ripping. I feel like I did more ripping than sewing yesterday. The thing is so huge. I don't know how I'm going to manage quilting it, but I know I want to sew it myself. The quilting will probably have to wait until the Bloom blocks are done, and that is fine.

My tracking also says delivery Thursday... yay, will be looking for it.

I was given a box of batiks to turn in to pillow cases. Well.....I have cut 19 and likely will have about that many more. These items will go to one of the local hospitals and to one of the larger women's shelters. Both organizations allow the patients and residents to take their pillow case home, so there will always be a need for more.

What a good way to use up fabric by the caboodle. I may do one pillow case, one Boom block and repeat. Shall see.

Janice dh also received a strange text today, his was from Apple. It was to track his purchase from Apple. He showed it to me and said watch out for these Do Not clink on the link. It was to track his apple purchase. Apple doesn’t send texts only emails. That was good to know.

Sewbiz can’t wait to see your B.surround.

WMUT wonderful way to use the batiks, they will make gorgeous pillowcases. It’s nice to hear the patients and residents are allowed to keep the pillowcases.

No sewing for me today, very busy

Sounds good. Thank you!

Good morning. Packages should start arriving today. Woo hoo! Let the sewing begin.

SBG, too bad about the sashings but at least they weren’t a quarter too short. Can’t wait to see it.

Terriamn, the scammers are too darn sophisticated these days, making texts and emails look deceptively real. Must be on alert all the time.

WMUTeach, please show us pix of your pillowcases. I bet they’re going to be pretty.

Ernie was off yesterday. Didn’t eat until dinner time and slept a great deal. Hoping he’s not winding down yet. Being so little I’m hoping we have a long time with him yet. He may just be missing DH who’s been away for a couple of days but returns this afternoon.

Today’s my weekly afternoon visit with my neighbor. Last week was rough as she’s forgetting how to do basic things and her daughter tells me she’s very tired all the time. I’m glad I can help out.

Enjoy your packages.

Here’s a block for Bibliostone’s puppy fabric, a friendship star none patch. That pup reminds me of my Ripley so I enjoyed working this one for you. I hope this is what you had in mind. I couldn’t cut up those pups.

Janice hope today isn’t to hard for you with your neighbor

What a fun block for Biblistone.

Guess you can teach an old dog new tricks. Played with my new ruler and was able to figure it out. Yeah

cowboy boots not happy with the block, not enough contrast

Glad you figured out your new ruler, Terri. Some I've seen are so complicated to use, they print a QR code on the ruler, that pulls up instructions online when scanned. I have several Creative Grids Log Cabin trimmers like that.
Your blocks are lovely. You can always stitch around the lighter pieces on the cowboy boot block, to make them pop out.

Janice, hope you get many years more with Ernie. I love how you and your hubby go "all in" on any doggie you have. Ernie is a lucky boy to have been found by you.
Cute block for B'stone--the puppies. I can't wait to get my fabrics and see what everyone wants for coordinates. Mine is expected today!

There's a Jenny Doan pattern I want to make out of my batiks. It's called Sticks and Stones, very easy. A friend made one out of all different purple strips and hers came out so pretty.

AND... the Burgoyne Surrounded top is on schedule to be finished before the F8s package comes! yay!

Terriamn, what new ruler did you get? Something fun? I made a block too that has little contrast from the main fabric. May have to take the whole thing apart if I can find a better match. Am disappointed bc it looked like it should have worked. Oh, well. Moving on for now.

Janice I bought the creative grids cats cradle ruler. It appears to be very accurate and should be precise. Just not the way I am use to doing things and it took a bit to change my way of thinking and being open to new methods.

Working on my rodeo block and I think I still need to make one more farm block.

Looking like another storm is brewing, would be nice if it’s not raining tomorrow on the ride North.

Sewbiz I will have to check our the Sticks and Sones pattern, I have lots of batiks that should be used.
