This Carousel block is for Bibliostone. I forgot how long these applique blocks take. MY DH drew the carousel. Hope you like it.

Love your block, Janice!

MJP, I second the vote for Most Creative. Love your zebra block! They do look like they are prancing!

Janice, you could contact your local hospital and/or dialysis center and ask if they need lap quilts for the wheelchair bound patients. Also Crisis Pregnancy centers love to get baby quilts to give out to their clients. I love donating locally.

Have to 3rd it as the most magical! Wow, that's wonderful.

As a side question ... would anyone like the "scraps" of corners, etc I have been collecting from some of these blocks. I do use them for "leaders" but gosh, I can only "lead" so many, lol. I'd be happy to put them in a baggie and send with the blocks if anyone wants them. I have a hard time tossing them (remember how Eleanor Burns use to throw everything over her shoulder?) but heaven knows, I certainly don't need small pieces. There's a point where even I have to get rid of stuff I know I will never ever use.

I’ll take back any leftover Christmas fabric from what I sent. I would use it. MJP

I am loving all the blocks posted since I was on last. They are all wonderful. The Carousel block is great, so imaginative. Thank you for my Basket dandy lion block. it's beautiful, Moon

I make lap quilts and donate them to a Female home for Veterans at Christmas. At any one time they have about 5 females with Children. They love the lap quilts and I can get about 8 done a year. My quilts are usually Scrappy. quick and easy. The families love them. I also try to knit hats and mittens too.

I spent today with my knitting friends just hanging out, gabbing and eating some delicious food.

I have no plans for Mother's Day, I did tell my husband I wanted someone else to fix dinner and I wanted 10 bags of dirt. I really would love to get the rest of my garden planted but next week the temps will drop again into the 30's UGH.

MJP, If you have any scrap strips, I can use those. Anything smaller than a 2 1/2 inch block I usually throw away. I used to save them but not anymore.

TERRIAMN

Here's a surprise block from the "Town" fabric. It's a surprise because when I was cutting out the squares needed, my son called and said our 17 yr old granddaughter was in a wreck ... she is ok ... but getting checked out at hospital.

Of course he said he'd fill me in tomorrow when he sees me ... don't they realize that imagination is far worse than knowing what actually happened and how she is???? Now I have to wait for her older sister, that is staying with us, to get home late tonight to find anything out .... Geeze!

Anyway, it's a surprise because right after the call, I cut 4 of the blocks at 3.5" when they should have been 4" and had to get on the struggle bus to get the block anywhere close to correct. Definitely surprised when I found out I had cut the squares incorrectly. Do wish now that I had used a more contrasting fabric than the tan/cream ... oh well ... too late for this one.

My phone camera also gives some strange dimensional warp to the fabrics ... really there's nothing wavy in any of the fabrics.

Wow! Lots of stuff going on here, as usual. So many beautiful blocks and fabrics. Y'all have such creativity. I'm always impressed.

The rainy days are here. Humidity is so high! The temps are cool, but I've had to run the air conditioner just to dry the air so I can work in my sewing area. Here's what I've completed so far. The colors look off to me but maybe it's just my monitor.

SewBizGirl - this block is called "Road to Oklahoma". It's a simple two-color block that shows your brown against a solid white.
Moonwork - I hope this is what you wanted. It is a "Double Sawtooth Star". Again, I used a flat white with your blue and orange-red.
Hav4Boys - Your polka dots are wonderful. And I really like the cloud-like movement in your blue. I can imagine this fabric and pattern on a twin bed.
Duckling - Modern blocks are a challenge for me. You asked for solids, so ... I used my solid white and Colorado State University green to make a bold, uncluttered statement. I hope you like it.
