There are a few really nice shops that sell fabric in our area...Pensacola is part of Escambia County...which is the general area I also live, and have been for over 20 years.

So one is a quilt shop, Ellen is the owner.
Her shop is called "The Quilting Station" her shop's address, is:
4507 Chumuckla Hwy, in Pace...just a block off the main drag through town towards Milton. Her shop is large enough to have a dedicated class room, a sit & stitch table & chairs for those folks who like to spend a while, drink a cup of coffee or tea and not just breeze through.
Technically, that shop is in Santa Rosa County, but the drive over is so quick, just a bit over the bridge, and Ellen's shop is Soooo worth the drive. She also holds doll making classes and stuff like that.

The other place is locally owned, family operated as well,
The A & E Pharmacy on New Warrington Road in Pensacola.
You have to enter the Pharmacy way, and then go to the left where they have added on an entire store front for the fabrics and crafts department.
And they take the 40% off coupon from Jo Ann's on fabrics and notions...unless you are buying frabric from the color of the month, which is already on sale for 25% off.

Their store is not big enough to hold classes, but they do have a spot for a "sit a spell", and just love folks who bring projects for show & tell.

    Does that help?

Also worthy of noting is that the Pensacola Quilt Guild has subdivided...one group meets in the evenings, the other during the day, same guild, but this way those women who work or have young children, can have time to gather and meet as well as those who are open for day meetings. Pay your dues and you can use both halves...they also allow you to visit 3X before making up your mind to join.

    Mary Ellen
Cantonment...mid way up the County which stretches from the Gulf of Mexico to the Alabama border...which is also called Escambia County.
