Isn't this the coolest fungus? I thought it was pretty I had to take a picture.

It did look like a flower I love living in the country where I can find so many unusual wild plants.

What a neat surprise to come up on! Thanks for sharing. I think I might go for a walk in the timber today and try to remember to pay attention to what's around me. So often I'm just focused on getting excercise that I forget to look around and appreciate.

Yours is very cool - love the lacy look. I took some pictures of fungus this year, too, when it was unusually wet outside. This one isn't as pretty as yours (especially since the lawnmowers blowed dirt onto it) but it was different from our usual. I called it the "exploding marshmallow"!
