I was in high school when he appeared in the Canal Zone....my Dad was "surprised" when I didn't cut school to see Bob Hope! Yes, a great, great humanitarian! Merry Christmas to all!

I love Bob Hope, such a wonderfull person, always went out of his way to visit the troops. thanks for sharing

Thanks so much for posting this link. I have wonderful memories of watching his specials each year of his USO trips. He always emphasized showing as many of the service men and women as possible. His books about these tours are wonderful also.

Thank you SO much. Bob Hope was a great man who spent a lot of time and money to help lighten the moment for our troops. He will never be forgotten for his time spent with the troops.
