That's so cute. You did a great job! I live in a rural area where there really aren't any places to buy fabric. I do most of my shopping online. A good source for inexpensive fabric, thread and patterns is www.connectingthreads.com They also have quite a few free patterns that are just downloads. I also like www.whittlesfabrics.com. They carry tons of top quality quilting fabric for a very discounted price. Their shipping rates are also very low. Good luck and happy quilting!

Nice job, and good you tried on your own and finished. I would like to learn how to do that type of applique. Not very brave.

Did you already stitch around the designs? It sounds like you did. Depending on your batting that might be enough. Warm and Natural only requires quilting 10" or less.

How cute is that?!!! Was the blanket stitch done after you sandwiched the quilt? If so, just stitch in the ditch around the blocks, or do a squiggly line where the purple meets the teal...do it right over the seams. That should be enough.
Love the pattern...really cute!

so for christmas my dauhter bought gift certificate for me at a quilt shop where she lives. i bought a pattern - applique and have had fun making it - instructions - well - not enough for me so i finshed the top - really lots of mistakes but i like it any way. i know how to make the sandwich but don't knoe how to quilt it. i did a machine blanket stitch all around the little cottages and bushes and trees. i used heat and bond. any way here is a picture - i am looking for advice on what kind of quilting - i am new to quilting - need something simple. thank you in advance.

Oh they are so cute. Your quilt looks lovely. Maybe quilt some lines on each roof and sitich in the ditch around the windows and doors and then around the outline of the house, trees and path.
