They also have a 6 pack , 8 pack, single and double (Single and double only are in black) But I have to say I love these things. I have purchased a ton of pencils, and markers and none of them work that great or the lines are real light and smudged and with hand quilting I felt I needed that nice crisp line to follow.

I tested them on several pieces of fabric last night both light and dark and gone as soon as the iron touched it.

Diane, beware that if the quilt gets cold, say it's in your car in the winter, the lines will reappear! We did a test at a meeting and this I say is true.

My neighbor just found the 3 pc. set at Target. I got my first one at Walgreen's so it looks like a lot of stores are carrying them. Have never seen them at Wal Mart though.

I'm just wondering--the ink disappears with a hot iron but comes back in the cold. Then, how can the chemicals in the ink be gone? Wouldn't some of the chemical still be there? After washing the quilt, will the ink still return in a line if quilt gets cold? I would love to use them if I could just be sure.

This is my concern:
Sometimes washing can make things show up MORE.
I hate the pencils I use so I will be waiting to hear you'alls comments!

"the markings can come back in the cold - I think it was 20 degrees or if you put it in the freezer."

Any idea if the markings go away again once the quilt warms up?

This is exactly my concern, and is the reason why I won't use them. I've heard some people say the ink washes out and others say it doesn't wash out.
