Default Preparing for our quilters get together

Living in the Amazon, I never imagined I would be part of a quilters group. Let alone that I would be one of the people leading it. However, a few of my friends mentioned in passing their interest in learning to quilt. So last month we got together for the first time and it was a huge success.

Here are a few pictures of the projects I am planning for our next two meetings.

Split 4 Patch Table Mat - March

P.S. These are the first two projects I have hand quilted. I am hoping to learn how to FMQ with my new machine.

Oh how fun! I have two small groups I meet with. I come home exhausted, hardly any work done, and happy as a clam! I usually get TONS done the next day. Let the creative juices flow!

How fascinating! I'm guessing there's no local quilt shop. Could you post pics of local fabrics? Where do you get sewing supplies? If you need fabrics, etc I'm sure folks would be willing to send some. Please tell us a bit about your life there- I'm intrigued. Do you use electric, hand crank, or treadles? Thank you very much, and have fun!
