HEY! You can't tell me that and then not show a picture of it!!!! Cough it up girl!
I'll bet we'd all love to see it, Maryellen2u, I hope you have a photo.

Okay I made this block, now let me say that this is WAY OUT of my comfort zone in a couple of ways. First would be the color. Now Jan don't take this personally but I don't like the color orange. I only have about 7 in my stash. Second its has a modern feel to it. I don't normally make modern. But I thought it was so nice of Jan to take the time to share and I really like the picture of the ladies. So I'm making this quilt. Not sure that I'll stay with the fabrics I used, but it was all I had on hand. Most of my stash is brights. I think this pattern would be better with batiks or muted colors. All in all I had fun putting it together. Another thought I had was if it were made scrappy. Thanks so much Jan for inspiring me to work with orange! So glad you didn't add purple to the mix!....LOL! Although I do have more purple than orange!

WOW, Lea, you did it!!!!! Yay!!
I hope others will, too and share here; it'll be so fun to see how the colors work in different quilters' blocks. I hope to make my own tonight. But I'm not sure about how to photograph it for you as I don't have a camera or a smart phone....I'll think on it.

P.S. Visiting your blog (just lovely!) for the first time allowed me to put a pretty face to the name I've known and enjoyed since the Barracks Quilts days! Love it!

Here is the article on Leatheflea's blog about this pattern. Lots of quilters read her site and she's offering it as a free pattern (with my consent, of course), so QB members should consider making one for us before the non-QB world starts posting their blocks!

I made my first block last night but have to get a friend to help take a picture before I can post it here. I want to make about 12 blocks, each having the colors in different placements within the blocks. I still LOVE the inspiration picture!

Get sewing!
