Default One small step for quilting folk.....

I persuaded DH to make a spool holder for my thread for my sewing desk drawer. We finished it earlier today. Pictures are the before, the during and the after!
It holds 60 spools of Connecting Threads thread and there is enough room for the bobbin (if there is one) to fit on top. Each of the open spools has the colour name and number from the cellophane wrapping stored beneath it - I used a one hole paper punch to punch a hole in the midst of the barcode so the label would fit onto the peg.
I inventoried the thread spools and made a spreadsheet on the computer today to track what colours I do and don't have.
This is one small step towards reorganizing the chaos of my sewing room.
The only flaw with this is that I now found out I need another holder for the bottom desk drawer as I have more than 60 spools.

I love it. I have been organizing mine and it won't stay put in the drawer, I was trying to figure out how to stabilize it. thought of the pegs, but I have one of those plastic drawer sets on wheels (cheep). do you think super glue would work?

Looks great. I may copy your idea in the future when time permits.
