I've been on board, hiding in the caboose. Got my 4-patches done, but I don't really have enough different light scraps. Is it really a problem if I don't have 24 different lights and 24 different medium lights? Will having some repeats really matter?

I cut two of all my fabs. but I also doubled up last week. as long as you don't have matchy/matchy.
I didn't think I had enough lights either, but surprisingly, I made it.

Sunliten Smiles: My sewn triangles measure 7 1/4" like Evie says. They are also 3 3/4" tall and I used a scant 1/4". I hope I cut them right and that my measurements are accurate! . I made a square and cut it on the diagonal following Judy's directions and then I used my mini triangle ruler to measure it several times before I used that ruler to cut a variety of fabric colors.

I used the back side of several fabrics to get a variety of lights. I wonder why it is so hard to purposely use the back side when sometimes I accidently sew them that way anyway. Lol.

One area of my sewing room is definitely a mess after digging through my scrap tubs to find today's fabric! I pulled out fleece and flannel scraps also as I went through the tubs and didn't get all of it put away yet.

Oh my gosh Vicki!!! Yes it's the blue fabric, it's like iridescent puffy lines. That is so nice! I didn't think I'd have any chance of finding more, I've scoured the internet. I need four 5 inch squares all together or I can work with scraps and just cut the triangles. That would be amazing if you have enough. Thank you thank you thank you!

Oh Sh**T, I just went back to the clue on sewing the triangles together! I sewed mine into squares! I have them all completed! I'm not going to rip them apart but make new ones. Oh well, more UFO's for another project. Good night, it's past my bed time.

Hi Marta, You are sewing the triangles side by side into a larger triangle instead of hst's. I don't know if you can cut them down to size after sewing, maybe someone else knows how.

I am putting 2 squares together, one med, one light, wrong sides out. Stitching down 2 opposite sides, then cutting thru the middle on the diagonal. It does give 2 matching HSTs . I am hitting it w spray starch before cutting. Seems to work ok.
And Judy is thinking "Why don't these ladies just follow my instructions!!"...
