Wow, she's a beauty! I would definitely clean up and lubricate every opening which doesn't have threads., as Joe says. 30 years is a long time to sit unused!

Good luck with her.

WOW, what a beauty. Love the cabinet. Interesting back then how diverse some companies were.

Well, took a fresh look at her. Turns out that the bobbin case is missing, going to have to replace the pulley entirely (thing is flat on multiple sides), the bobbin winder grommet dry rotted off. I was able to find all those parts here: http://sewingmachine221sale.bizland....ore/index.html

It's also probably a really good thing that I did not try and run her, when I took the face plate off she was dry as a bone. Even the junk had dried, at least I have a good weekend project.

FYI - I would set it in a sunny window to warm up all that old oil. I bought an old treadle and couldn't budge the moving parts. I put it 'out of the way' in front of a kitchen window and "Viola". I tried it a few days later and could move everthing by hand. What a surprise.

Congrats, that is a SWEET machine!

That's a great idea, unfortuneately I live in an old farm house that rarely gets above 65 degrees even in the summer (the windows are the fancy double pane jobbers that don't let a lot of heat in). Maybe a hair dryer? I can still move all the parts by hand, so it's not that bad. It's very hard waiting to sew on her, the itch is sew bad
