I belong to a guild that will take just the tops and then process them for charity quilts. That why each one of us can do the part of a quilt that we enjoy. Hopefully you might have one close to you.

what a treasure trove of quilts. you say you can't afford the fabric for the backs or batting. how about selling one and using the money from that to finish one of them. they are so beautiful and need to be shown to all. thanks for showing them to us. what a wondful bunch of quilts. so glad you got them and not goodwill.

Well at least one person in that family had a little bit of sense!! They went to a person who they thought might appreciate what their predecessors had created. Each and every one of those quilts and tops is absolutely lovely. I really hope you find a way to 'spread the joy'. You have been given an incredible gift and it would be a shame if it was not passed along.

I would love to purchase one for my new shop. These remind me of what my great grandmother did , and when she died her son burned all her hand made quilts. It's crushing to think he'd do that..I have my great grandmothers bed and it would be so nice to have something like that on it..Thanks
