That's only one of over 25 holidays celebrated at this time of year. It's not the only "reason for the season."

Did not realize 25 different celebrations occur this time of year.....all in the Western Hemisphere? Or worldwide? Will have to research that....... Well, my holiday is Christmas, so to those who also celebrate it, Merry Christmas!!
