So sorry your quilt was misplaced all those years ago. The moral of the story for others is that when something is made with such love, it is meant to be seen and touched. My mother is 82 and still saving many presents from my siblings and I for good. What does that even mean! Nothing hidden in a closet does anyone any good and the gift giver is often disappointed or mystified as to why their gift was not used. Everyone please clean those closets and find something to use and love today! Good luck to you on this search and cherish your picture

Someone liked the quilt. You can go to LostQuilt on FAcebook or their website. Many people who have lost quilts check in daily. I got a scarf from my grandmother and a beautiful clip. I wore it often. It made me smile and it made my grandmother smile. Many thought I should put it away. I still wear it for very special occasions. I wash it once a year in woolite. I was told she only paid $1.00 for it. It's priceless to me!

In my younger days I so wanted an expensive set of dishes costing way more than our budget would allow. For years I spend many hours drooling over them and dreaming of the day they would be mine. In mid-life I finally got my dishes along with all the extra serving pieces. I was so excited, however, after I got them, I used them like 2 times and then lovingly tucked them away to save for special occasions (?). That was like 30 years ago. As Thanksgiving 2015 approached, I finally came to realize any time spend with family and friends is a special occasion and that at my age I may or may not have many more special occasions in my future so, I've since pulled them out of the buffet and have enjoyed using them many, many times. I really wish I knew why I was saving them. It seems so silly for people to do this yet, there's a lot of us out there. LOL
