Thank you for sharing this jacket done with the d9p blocks. I love the idea of the quilted jackets but often don't like the design on them. Now I think I might get on one.

I sewed the blocks directly to the lining fabric so I didn't have to use flannel in between. This one is actually lined with a heavy silk I had left over from a dress and jacket I made back in the day. It seemed kind of over the top for base fabric, but I figured I'd had it for 20 years and never used it and it was the perfect color. It worked great and since it's a nice suit weight silk, it has enough body to make the jacket look good but is soft and drapeable.
