Default ISO 3-D looking log cabin

I know I've seen some on here but can't find one to see what they are called, the strips graduate in value giving it a nice dimensional effect. It may not actually be a log cabin but that's what it reminds me of. So if anyone knows what it's called or where to get instructions I would appreciate your help.
and.. GO! LOL

Thought it might be Light in the Valley but that is a Bargello not a Log Cabin, sorry.

It looks to me like a half log cabin block. Easy to construct without a pattern; just pay attention to gradation.

edit: and add sashing between the blocks.

Here's one: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...h-t223757.html.

There was a thread about this type of design a few months back. I followed a link and it seems it's really popular in Eastern Europe. Sorry, I can't find the thread.

bkay

Edit: Found it! They're called optical illusion quilts.
