Almost no waste and you use all 5 inch squares.

I'm with you on the 5" squares. They are becoming my favorite. They are very easy and so many different patterns can be made from them. I'm currently quilting a Disappearing Nine patch with Cornerstone.

All of these patterns in the Mood Bake Shop use charm squares.

I either make 4 patch or just sew together in rows.

Author Pat Speth has written several books using 5" squares. Here's a link:

One of the easiest and good looking quilts I have made are the ten minute blocks. You can make several different blocks and they look complicated but are quite simple. Just google the Ten Minute Quilt Blocks.

I like the Disappearing 9 patch. Its very easy, you sew your 9 patch blocks and then cut them in half horizontally and vertically, then arrange them. I'm quilting one now, here's a picture of it.

Thank you for sharing these quilts. What a great ways to use up scraps in good looking designs that will be easy to stitch.
