Default Blizzard of Snowmen - Top Done

The first layout proved to be impractical as all of the snowmen were pushed close together, and it was just a mass of blue. After looking at what others had done, I too decided to add little extras. So the mittens, snowflake, holly, stars, trees, gingerbread boys, and hot chocolate, entered the picture. I did not want it to be too Christmasy so I avoided things like ornaments, presents, stockings, and candy canes.

It was started on January 27, 2015 and is about 90 x 90 inches.

This project sat as a UFO not once but two times. However, this is a good thing because it gave me time to think about what I wanted to do with the details of each block. I promised myself that it would be finished by December 1st, however, I got sick of looking at it. At least the top is done. Some day I will quilt it, with mittens, stars and swirls, etc.

Oh, I love it! Snowman are my favorite winter theme. You did great with the extra time to think out the embellishments. Finish it up and use it.
